How this estimate works

Lenders mostly check two things: your credit score, which sets your interest rate and approval odds, and your FOIR (Fixed Obligation to Income Ratio), the share of take-home pay that can go to EMIs. We take your income × the FOIR limit typical for your score band, subtract EMIs you already pay, and work out the largest loan that remaining EMI can support at the likely rate.

Frequently asked questions

What CIBIL score is needed for a loan?

Most banks prefer 750 or above for the best rates. 700–749 usually gets approved, 650–699 may be approved at a higher rate, and below 650 many lenders decline unsecured loans.

How do banks calculate loan eligibility?

Banks look at your credit score plus FOIR, the share of your take-home pay going to EMIs. They allow total EMIs of roughly 40–55% of income, then work out the loan that remaining EMI can support at your rate and tenure.

Does using this calculator affect my CIBIL score?

No. It runs entirely in your browser, makes no credit enquiry and asks for no PAN or personal details.
